12-19 APRIL 2025 ILCA 4&6 YOUTH EASTER CAMP
The first sailing day is the 12th of April, meeting at 13:00 At Fraglia Vela Malcesine, with the boats ready to sail.
Pre regatta training days we plan to do two sessions, starting with Peller at 9am and the afternoon session starting around 13:30 with the Ora wind. The end of the day - around 16:30.
Between the two sessions, we will have a lunch break on the shore and a debrief.
We will split sailors into groups for the morning sessions and join them for the afternoon racing. Finishing the day with one more debrief.
Our training camp includes coaching during Regata (Easter youth meeting 2025). So please make sure that you register yourself for the regatta. Registration will be open here: https://www.fragliavela.org Entry fee of the regatta is not included in the price of Easter Camp.
Depending on the regatta schedule we will do meetings at the club and split sailors and coaches for the fleet assignments.
Sailors should have a waterproof bag to leave with the coach in the rib.
We will do debriefs after the races too.
Things to expect:
4 training days;

To reserve a spot on our training camp you should fill up a reservation form and pay a registration fee. Registration secures you a spot in our training squad for the whole period of training 2025 04 12-19.

#3 COMMS
Before the start of the training camp, we will create a closed group for all the participants and their parents. In this group we will share all the information about the training camp, schedule, competition, and any other important information.

NEED A BOAT? No Problem:

About Easter training camp
Our Easter training camp is the first sailing event for most young sailors. We are hosting this event during the European Easter holidays. Our training camp also includes Youth Easter Meeting (16-19 APRIL 2025): the historical Eastern event organized by Fraglia for the young ILCA class sailors, that attract sailors from all over Europe.
Our goal for this event is to kickstart the best sailing season for all the participants of our training camp, by providing them with high-quality coaching in the best sailing lake in the world.
Mattia Cesana
Currently, I am a sailor in the Ilca 7 and Switch categories, and I’ve had the privilege of winning numerous European and World titles in both the Ilca 6 and Ilca 7 categories. Every achievement is the result of constant dedication and my drive to push myself further.
Sailing is, for me, a true life school, where every race is an opportunity to grow and challenge myself. I’m excited to continue pursuing my sporting dreams and to carry on with this passion that has been with me since I was young.
Rokas Milevičius - is a professional Lithuanian sailor and Olympian. Rokas has a lot of experience in coaching young talents in ILCA classes. After the London Olympic games, Rokas was coaching Laser and Laser radial teams until he got selected to do the |Volvo ocean race around the world with Team Brunel. Nowadays Rokas is training high-performance teams on Offshore sailing yachts, however, his passion for ILCA class and love for lake Garda brings him to our Easter training camp every year. Where he can share his experiences with young sailors from all over the world.
OUR TEAM
We grew up sailing and we dreamed big while sailing. We had great sailing careers and sailing made us strong in many ways. Today we have an opportunity to help young sailors develop their sailing skills in this special place - Lake Garda. We love it and you will!
Peer Moberg - is a Norwegian sailor and coach, he did 4 Olympic campaigns in 1996-2000-2004-2008. in 2018 Rio Olumpics Peer was a Coach.
While coaching ILCA Peer has secured Bronze in Olympic, 3-5-7 places in laser worlds, two times 2 winning world championships. Regulary coaches in all main sailing events (Miami, Hyeres, Palma, Kiel) Winning wc in ILCA total Norwegian, AUT, GER, ESP, DAN ILCA champions. Peer is currently working as a sailing coach in Norway sailing federation.
Alp Alpagut - Lives and works in Riva del Garda - Italy. Alp is one of the most experienced ILCA coach, he is active ILCA class Olympic Sailing Coach. He has been part of these Olympic games: Rio 2016 coach. London 2012 coach. Beijing 2008 coach. Atlanta 1996 athlete. This year Alp will join Easter training camo and will share his experience with our camp participants.
